Vieil Antibes
Exhibition « A ciel ouvert » (« Open-air »). Antibes has us raising our eyes to the heavens by highlighting the artist Nicolas Lavarenne. Overlooking the sea from the ramparts, suspended between two streets, keeping watch over the town from the archway Porte Marine or fighting on the esplanade Pré-aux-Pêcheurs, the 19 beings sculpted in bronze by Nicolas Lavarenne, perched on their stilts, set the Antibes landscape in movement by redefining contours and spaces. The Bains-Douches Gallery, in boulevard d’Aguillon, echoes this exhibition by displaying small and mediumsized works by the artist.
